Our specialty is the conversion of fleets to the benefits of alternative fuels – natural gas, propane, biodiesel (B100) - for Chicago area businesses and municipalities. Vehicles retain the ability to run on gasoline or diesel, but while operating on an alternative fuel, emissions may be reduced up to 50% and fuel costs can be reduced close to $1.15 per gallon. Our clients include Abt Electronics, AH Management, Glenview Park District, Cook County Forest Preserve, County of DuPage Public Works, DuPage County Forest Preserve, City of Elmhurst, City of Naperville, Ozinga Concrete, and the University of Illinois at Chicago.

Vehicle conversions may be 50% subsidized by Federal CMAQ (Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality) grants. Advanced VTech offers grant writing services to qualify for these funds.

The co-owners, David Hagopian and Ron Sheble, were colleagues at Fortune Brands. David had traveled extensively for business to Asia, Europe, and South America. Most countries he visited had over one million vehicles operating on natural gas or propane. Fueling vehicles with natural gas began in Italy soon after Work War II. Given that the U.S. has 25% of the world's truck fleets and the lowest cost natural gas, we believe the use of alternative fuels by fleets will continue to rise. Alternative fuel usage for vehicles is being rapidly adopted in Texas, Oklahoma, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and California. We, of course, expect the trend will spread to the Midwest and into the Chicago area.
