About Us

Is it really possible to become smarter, faster, clearer? To reverse aging and become more vital - in every way? WebNutrients.com. Custom-Blended, Optimized and Advanced Nootropics and Nutraceuticals for Mind • Body • Energy • Sex & Sleep.

How We Got Started

My former wife died of an Oxycodone+Alcohol+Methadone overdose (which began innocently after our third home birth). I have a background in biochemistry, performance nutrition and antiaging supplementation technologies.

Our goal was originally to get people off addicting or harmful drugs and meds. Then quickly address their issues in a healthy, holistic fashion (not woo-woo, but science-based nutrition and supplementation as the basis for healthy reimagining of how to live a great, clear, energized, spectacular life).

We are now a unique creator of individualized and customized supplements that actually perform. Within 40 minutes of your first dose, you will experience the benefits of high-density, custom blended organic nutrition - with an emphasis on cognitive performance, natural energy, clarity and optimism.

(Oh, and we continue to have success helping folks get free from their former addictions. Be it Painkillers, ADHD meds, Opiates, Methamphetamines and excessive SSRI's.)

Every year we help tens of  thousands of customers with their mental "performance" issues.  See what we did there? It's not about being depressed, slow, fatigued, anxious, ADD/ADHD, mean, mad, frustrated, sleep-deprived (we stop short of psychosis, which definitely requires more intensive treatment). Everyone wants to perform well. Everyone wants to succeed in life (regardless of how success is personally defined). By supporting people's performance goals, we find they most often joyfully engage our insights and solutions. We use a private, secure intake frm to understand our client's condition and objectives, in advance (or as a follow-up) to the initial consultation. With plenty of opportunity to comment within our questions, to ensure the visitor has an opportunity to share their issues. So we can better support them. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Meditation, Exercise and Diet are all critical components to client success. Here's how we establish that mindset: When clients engages and commits to process, they get results. When they see you (and us) coming to "fix" them, it's a big self-esteem hit. When we are here to support their performance goals. We partner with them. Collaborate.  Giving the client control of their lives is a process. Many folks have resigned their mental health and wellness to professionals who hide behind Latin phrasing and complex medical terminology. We've found we don't have to (or even WANT to) overload or confuse the client. Be supportive and encouraging, regardless of the process they adopt. Make the language accessible and meaningful. Metaphor rocks! If they see the pill as the "cure", they give away their power. They establish dependence on the meds.  Taking it daily, on schedule, triggers their Pavlovian response. Which often blunts their progress. CBT can be an incredible path out of (or minimizing) meds, so the individual is, and feels, in control. Empowered. Finally, publishing short posts, documents and infographics can be a major boost (videos on YouTube and Vimeo if you're comfortable with that). When you remove the stigma. When you show total acceptance, regardless of the depth of the client's pain, you become the catalyst for their healing. And ain't that why we're here? Wonderful question. Best of success!

The interesting thing (to me) are the studies finding the "inert ingredients" in glyphosate (aka Round-up® Pesticide and equivalents) are potentially more harmful than the key insecticide itself! Scientific American did a decent article on the subject. The bigger issue is: What can we do to mitigate accumulating toxins of all dangerous chemicals (we ARE seeking solutions, yes?) Here are some solutions proven to help reduce toxins and toxin load: 1) One day a week, drink distilled water as your primary drink. A gallon is good. Distilled can help leach certain compounds from the body. Subtle, but effective. 2) Add Uridine Monophosphate+Methylcobalamin (B-12)+Folic Acid to your regular supplement regimen. (Sublingually works best. Let it sit under the tongue for 1-3 minutes, until fully dissolved, with plenty of time for absorption.).  This formula passes the blood-brain barrier and does a great job of helping the brain's natural detoxification processes work to remove foreign chemicals from the gray matter and synaptic gaps. You'll quickly feel more clarity. BONUS! You'll also reduce tolerance to meds, alcohol, cannabis, etc... So less goes further. Which also improves overall mental and physical performance. 3)  Tricetyluridine, (the stomach-acid tolerant version of Uridine) can be taken orally. Combined with broken-cell Chlorella, Cilantro Leaf Extract, Humic/Fulvic/Phenolic Acid and Phosphatidylserine as a night-time supplement, you'll wake clear and refreshed, as the detoxification "load" on the brain and body happens in your sleep (you'll likely have deeper, more restorative sleep as well). 4) Sleep! As this video shows, sleep is where our body's natural neurological detoxification happens. So getting solid sleep works wonders.  I practice deep breathing exercises (picked up decades ago from a serious meditation practitioner), as a way to settle my mind and help accelerate the sleep cycle. Reducing Screen Time well in advance of bedtime also helps. When necessary, I'm not afraid to augment sleep using safe melatonin+sleep nutrient blends. 5) Exercise to the point of sweating and breathing hard with an elevated heart rate. Sweat IS our body's natural detoxification-as-a-natural-temperature-regulation-system. It doesn't take much to help your body begin releasing those nasties from your system. 6) EWOT rocks! Exercise With Oxygen Therapy is an incredibly effective way to rapidly release toxins from the body - anywhere blood flows, EWOT will help. I was once a White Rat for Accutane, a seriously toxic acne drug. So toxic, in fact, it has a cancer warning right on the package. Nasty stuff. And I took a 6-month series of the maximum dose for my age and weight back in the early 80's. Even after being an athlete and training daily, a decade later the drug was still buried within my tissues.  One 30 minute EWOT session accelerated the toxin release in a spectacular way (feel free to PM me for the gory details, if you like). Multiple sessions over the years has made a significant improvement in my clarity, accident and any sickness recovery. And overall wellbeing. I cannot recommend it enough (I have a system in our offices, for visitors, and at home, for my own weekly use).  So - what do I think about Glyphosate Poisoning? I think I'll kick it's butt with the above protocols. (Thanks for the question, Sarah!)

It's easy to spin your wheels on things that don't make an impact. It's also important to do things that resonate with you and your team, so they are done authentically and from the heart.Find that balance, and everything becomes fun, fulfilling and effortless.) 1) Every product we make comes with a postcard. On one side are the product instructions. And a link to more details. On the opposite side is one of 870 quotes we've either created from internal dialogue. Or that we've culled from our friends on Facebook, Twitter and in text dialogue with customers and friends. And I'm not talking the classic Oprah, Bruce Lee, Dale Carnegie quotes.  These are usually found deep within some thread. Some missed gem that, when graphically enhanced and exposed to the larger audience, become deeply meaningful ideas, thoughts and admonitions.  2) Samples. In our business (custom, personalized supplements), it's important that we read between the lines of what our customers order, and find ways to add value to their desired outcome. So providing samples of products that might be very helpful to their goals is key. (One of my lead employees really hates that we give so much product away like this. But I have to share that the alternative is more traditional advertising and marketing, which are great. But lack the actual experience and engagement of the product.) 3) Texting Support We keep a refreshed, rotating group of our newest 200 clients in Textra (a cross-platform texting app that supports images and audio). As our clients engage with their custom supplements, we help them navigate their progress from Sick to Superhuman (our definition of the path we all take as we address a physiological issue or limitation, and, hopefully, kick it's butt). This very tight feedback loop allows us to better understand our client's needs. Build better solutions. And, by adding voice and images, we show them we truly care about their short and long term health and quality of life goals. Rex Eads and Me at a quick consultation on NZT-48 and How To Focus and Wake Happy! These three are the legs of our Customer Delight process. If we do them well, we find our customers become co-evangelists for us. And those texts? Yeah, they are filled with incredible testimonies and encouragements from those folks who get our mission. And experience results. Here's to your own awesome customer delight stories (looks like you've got quite a few for me to dig into here!). Thanks again, Steve!

I wouldn't be in the business had I not met some great people who encouraged me to get, and stay, healthy and at high performance. As well as to quell my fears of not looking like a Swanson's, NOW or similar large scale supplement business. 1) My Doctor, Kelvin Lindgren: Met him at a B&B he and his sweetheart owned. Changed my life. Went from hypo-thyroid to hyper-effective within 6 months. 2) Dave Rousett: a UofO grad in Biochemistry who had a morning talk show on nutrition and supplements. He helped me see the big picture and how supplements can make a dramatic improvement in individual's performance. RIP. 3) Shawn Phillips: An incredible athlete, businessman and philosopher, Shawn gave me the courage to ship before I was ready. He also got me thinking in terms of how every aspect of life informs your health and wellness. The mentorship is ongoing.  I am fortunate to find exceptionally gifted people in health, nutrition and business to learn from and bounce ideas off.  That includes customers. We thrive on their feedback and insights. Here's to your incredible health, Mark Alan Effinger WebNutrients

Fees are about the same as a merchant account. A volume account in good standing gets you access to capital at a relatively reasonable rate. The bad: If they, for any reason, decide your account is in a questionable industry (subject to change without notice), they can shut you down and hold your funds for 6-months. Very scary when you're running $50,000+ a month with them.  The Alternatives: It's not a bad idea to distribute your merchant risk across multiple different providers. Smart businesses always do this, especially as you scale. So PayPal is great, but not for extended high volume unless your industry and product/service is rarely ever consider marginal. And customer complaints are -2%. Stripe is awesome as well. And easy to integrate with anything, including phones and iPads. Square rocks for retail and specific online sales. I would rock all three of these, as well as a standard merchant account. That covers you in every way. And keeps you protected from a single source. Rock-on! ME

(more) A great question, @Michael! To do this justice, I think it's important that we first clarify a few things: 1) Product vs Service. 2) Local vs Regional vs National vs Worldwide. 3) Branding vs Direct Sales For us, as a Custom Performance Nutrition Developer and Manufacturer, we got lucky: Our first product, NZT-48, grew very fast, through OPA: Other People's Advertising. Before we launched, we engaged over 500 beta testers to provide feedback on our formula. As we completed the beta program, an incredible serendipitous event occurred: The movie Limitless began to gain traction. Our beta testers said "Dude! Your product makes me feel like Bradley Cooper on NZT!" So we rode the wave of the movie marketing for almost 4 years, using the movie's keywords as our platform. Cheap and effective.  Then the TV show came out and we enjoyed about 18 months of that marketing as well. (The insight: If possible, drafting off an existing, popular media effort can provide incredible lift for your brand and sales. We grew 11,700% from this effort). Since then, we've formed channel partnerships with various international distributors who leverage any marketing we do. And we benefit from their efforts as well. Here's where it gets fun: 1) Amazon: Stores. Ads. Reviews. You can get an enormous amount of quality exposure leveraging Amazon's platform and tools. And you know customers are looking through Amazon with their credit card in hand. Good stuff. Amazon ads can also be very affordable and customizable. Using a service like Sellozo or Sellics or SellerLabs can really accelerate your Ad-tivity and ROI as well. For less than $100 a month, you can get a ton of exposure by buyers. And if you actually sell something on Amazon, and do relatively well, they buy Google Adwords for you. Incredible. 2) Quora: Provide rich, extensive answers, and you'd be surprised how much visibility and traffic you receive (as well as expert status if you have good insights). Quora now has Ads as well. We will be working on a campaign to test them for results. If you're a service business, you NEED to leverage Quora.  If you're a product business, you HAVE to leverage Quora. 3) Facebook: Both organic engagement and Facebook Ads work well for building an audience and supporting your customers. Facebook Ads are still affordable as well. Their ad limitations are kind of sad (ads can't have copy on them, etc...). But market segmentation rocks.  One cool part of FB: If you have the right ecommerce platform, you can embed your store ON YOUR PAGE. It's simple and reduces the time from ad/post to click. (Side Note: We love ECWid.com for our ecommerce. But we've also used Shopify, WooCommerce and Wix (the latter also use ECWid for their ecommerce).  4) Every product we send out contains a postcard of instructions, along with a motivational message from me or one of our customers. Like so... Customers from all over the world continue to let us know they appreciate the inspiration. They post these above their desks. In break rooms. On the fridge at home. And on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter. So the short answer is: Other People's Advertising. The more extended view is: Everything you do, including how you address customer service, product returns, celebrating your customers and giving them Something More in almost every order and dialogue. That's the best. Here's to your incredible success! Mark Alan Effinger - Chief Evangelist WebNutrients

(more) Hi Ann, Yes, absolutely. Even with controversy regarding the reality of how truly Organic or Natural a supplement, herb or nutritional really is, we at least appreciate that the company has earned the designation. In our own custom supplement compounding lab, we've gone a few steps further, creating the designations of Plant-to-Powder and Plant-to-Pill.  Using tracking technology based on the Blockchain, we know the location, condition of the soil, surrounding crops (and rotation schedules), seed origination, watering cycles, quality of the (always organic and natural) pest controls, harvest date and time, extraction technique (always organic and natural - sonic extraction with potato-based alcohol, distilled water and/or coconut oil) and final drying temperature and duration. As a result, we believe we have the tightest controls in the natural supplement industry. And we can eliminate potential issues before they arise. With good organic and natural nutrients, the results are a non-toxic benefit to the customer. Whether as an ingestible (like a supplement or herb) or a topical application (makeup or topically applied oil, salt or nutrient). So, "yes" Ann, we're totally behind the movement. As long as it's more than a paid-for label to apply to just any compound that comes through the door.
