We provide court reporting services covering recording, and transcribing depositions. We also provide reporting services for a variety of state boards meetings and academic boards as well.
How We Got Started
Bodenheimer Verbatim Reporting began operating in 1987 after I was a volunteer at the Women's Resource Center in Chapel Hill and I was auditing hearings regarding child support cases.

My business is standing still. I am freelance and/or sole proprietor court reporter, DBA business, one person. Attorneys are considered "essential workers." Some offices have shut; some are open to some extent, but we can't convene for depositions or other board meetings that I cover, and we reporters can't administer the oath remotely by law, so even with Zoom to connect, we can't do our jobs. Certain law specialties and the court reporters require a change in the law to work remotely, so that issue is before a committee in the legislature. Waiting....
April 24, Friday, was the first day that self-employed could apply for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, so I did.
