I virtually attended the cast retelling of "The Princess Bride" during the summer of 2020. It was a great way of getting away from the despair of Covid-19 since the premise is fantasy-romance. One of the cast had to be replaced: Andre the Giant passed away several months before this happened. His lack reminded me of how important his gravel voice and gentle demeanor belied his great size, both in the movie and throughout his life. I enjoyed the reading immensely, particularly since Mandy Patinkin was playing his part of the Spanish swordsman 'way over the top.
