We started in 2012 with the mission to provide a loving home for as many of Malawi’s children in need as possible. There are an estimated 1.4 million orphans and as one of the poorest countries in the world, with 74% living in extreme poverty, defined as living off less than $1.25USD per day, Chikondi is dedicated to helping orphaned children escape the cycle of poverty so many are stuck in. This way they can grow up and provided for themselves, their extended families and their communities. One child at a time we can all make a real difference in the futures of these children and the country of Malawi as a whole.
