Hi i'm Jen! I am a wedding/portrait photographer and conceptual artist. I have been doing what I love for 18+ years and it brings me joy to capture moments for others! I love helping capture the moments that mean something to you so you can re-live all the emotions & memories in that time! I also specialize in creative & theme weddings. You, me and a camera! With the new additions of Weirdo Weddings Photography and speaking brand Pink Hair Jen - I am exploring the never-ending creativity and inspiration with couples AND with community.

Jen is a passionate artist & photographer that welcomes the weird, celebrates imagination and creates spaces to belong.

Jen has a passion to encourage others in their craft & voice and bring a spirit of love & creativity wherever & whenever possible! She is the Lead Wedding Photographer for Weirdo Weddings and Conceptual Portrait artist with Pink Light Images.

Jen also works with couples that prefer Handfastings and additional ceremony types. She is a fabulous Handfasting Photographer.

Jen Sulak is an experimental artist and wedding photographer who loves the connection that still moments bring in our modern times. Over 18 years ago she started the journey of becoming a photographer which has brought her to 2020, the year that started her hyper-niche brand of Weirdo Weddings Photography. This niche speaks to many couples out there looking for acceptance, inclusion and visibility in a saturated wedding industry world. Jen is one of many amazing quirky voices in the industry stepping out to share, collaborate, connect and CREATE with others.

A few professional highlights of her career: Cameos on "Fandemonium" by Adam Richman, TLC's Say Yes to the Dress: Atlanta, Non-Binary fashion week on Offbeat Wed, The cover of Quirky Weddings Magazine, A full feature episode on Sony's "Facing Creativity" with Brooke Shaden and her Vow Renewal LIVE on Kidd Kraddick in the Morning Radio Show in DFW. She also began her own podcast called "Tattoos and Toddlers" a podcast that looks at having a business with young children, caretaking and fun tattoo stories. Her guests are a range of hard-working individuals sharing their REAL life stories and inspirations for us all. This began inspired by her fellow wedding pros struggling to address this in their lives and how it all intertwined in the end.

How We Got Started

I fell into photography when friends & family started encouraging me that I had an eye. I took lots of classes and a business course to start my business and since then I have found my true passions and what I love doing inside the big world of photography. The rest is history! AND the future!

I have been able to shoot super super small elopements but realistically I took another part time job to help sustain through the year and be ready for 2021! I just launched a new brand for my wedding services called Weirdo Weddings and for years I’ve done smaller weddings... and this year is THE... Actually not at all! I graduated from school and went right to college without any inkling of art or photography. At that time in my life, I just knew I was good at math/science and thought the logical step might have been engineering of some sort. I also loved Aerospace at the time and... (more) Actually not at all! I graduated from school and went right to college without any inkling of art or photography. At that time in my life, I just knew I was good at math/science and thought the logical step might have been engineering of some sort. I also loved Aerospace at the time and attended 2 summer camps with those themes. It has been interesting to see where life took me when i didn't KNOW what i wanted. I think the only regret I might have had...was not finding this sooner. I also see how I grew up actually factoring into my life as a small business - being adaptable, traveling and learning to manage myself. It has been quite the journey!

This year has been very unique! I have learned that I NEED to trust my instincts and listen inside to direction that matches with my purpose.
