Pam Walrond
Custom Designs by Pam
After learning to sew with her grandma, Pam began her college career pursuing her dream of working in fashion merchandising. She received a triple major in Business, Economics, and Tailoring and Textiles. While interviewing in the fashion industry, Pam decided it wasn't the right career path for her and ended up using her degree in Business and Economics instead in the tech world.
Never losing sight of her passion, she continued sewing as a hobby throughout her life for herself, friends and family. Finally, in retirement from corporate America, Pam has decided to focus completely on her passion and is excited to share it with you.
Custom Designs by Pam does everything that involves fabric including custom draperies, upholstery, embroidery and alterations specializing in wedding dresses and prom dresses. She travels to clients home for fitting and consultations to make it as easy for clients as possible. Has recently hired a contract seamstress who expands our ability to service customer though always quality checked before delivery to clients.
After I was laid off, I made our master bedroom curtains while I figured out what to do next. I got a couple of people who needed things done. Realized there was an opportunity. For the first two years worked out of the house but as machines, fabric and work expanded and started taking over the house my husband built an addition to his shop and now have a 16x25 shop behind my house for fittings, and work. It’s perfect place to work!
