Cedar Park Counseling is a group of Independent Practitioners located in Cedar Park TX. The owners, David Jinright & Nicole Johnson, are both Licensed Clinical Social Workers with extensive professional experience (25 and 22 years respectively) and a shared focus on bringing quality therapy to the Cedar Park area. David specializes in Internal Family Systems and Couples Therapy, while Nicole works with adolescents and adults from a more CBT approach. Both have a relational demeanor that places clients quickly at ease. In addition Cedar Park Counseling houses several independent practitioners using a variety of therapeutic interventions. These include DBT, CBT, EMDR, IFS, EFT, Gottman Method, relational interventions and psycho-dynamic therapies. We are also LGBTQ+ allied and sensitive to the cultural dynamics and needs of each individual client.
David & Nicole met in 2018 and soon recognized they shared a common goal. Both wanted to develop a network of quality therapists in the Cedar Park area (similar to the professional communities they had experienced in their previous locations in Central Austin and in New York City). In 2019, the two purchased their current location in Cedar Park and formed Cedar Park Counseling LLC. Since then, Cedar Park Counseling has become home to multiple like-minded therapists that all share a commitment to professional growth, training and evidenced based therapy interventions. Cedar Park Counseling is committed to developing a therapist community that assists clients in finding the best therapeutic fit for their specific needs. In addition, CPC strongly believes in the need for therapists to connect with other therapists, in order to foster a community in which therapists learn from each other, support each other and continuously grow as professionals.
