I could see the value and importance of Alignable for local businesses. I do major gift fund raising at the Catholic Diocese, and don't network all that much, with the possible exception of LinkedIn. I think that being listed (and ideally, having a high rating) from the BBB is very important. But in this day and age, online reviews are probably more important. Recently, I had to have my Volvo serviced (40,000 mile checkup) and I went to Google to find car repair places that specialized in... (more) I think that being listed (and ideally, having a high rating) from the BBB is very important. But in this day and age, online reviews are probably more important. Recently, I had to have my Volvo serviced (40,000 mile checkup) and I went to Google to find car repair places that specialized in Volvo and had a really great reputation -- I was able to find a place that was only two blocks from my office in South End, and they were rated highly on Google -- and lived up to billing.

A few ideas: I would network with PTOs and other school related groups. Perhaps you can find some of these online. Have your kids aged out of the K-12 school system? If not, then you're probably still in the loop, but even if so, perhaps you have a success story to share. I don't know if there... However, I would imagine that you will have to do some online marketing....hope this helps, it's been a while since our last child was up and out (2010 graduate of MPHS)....Armen

Interesting point David. With Alignable, as well as with LinkedIn, if someone goes through the trouble of sending me a personal message, I generally answer back.
