About Us

Hamilton Edwards is HR SOLUTIONS, BENEFITS, PAYROLL, HR & COMPLIANCE
ALL IN ONE PLACE

Hamilton Edwards is one of the nation’s fastest-growing professional employer organization (PEO) consulting firms. A PEO provides a consortium of services that are rolled into one organization that gives a small business the buying power and resources they cannot get anywhere else. This means helping businesses offer benefits like health insurance and 401(k) at a lower cost than out on their own.

Go here for more information on PEOs: https://hamiltonedwards.com/peo-services

We are different, not only because we are committed to finding the right solution, PEO, ASO, or PEO extraction (exiting), but 100% committed to your success.

Our solutions provide your organization the ability to take advantage of our providers’ size, strength, and relationships. There is no direct cost to you for the work we do searching, reviewing, and guiding through the different PEO / ASO options (fees can apply to a PEO extraction).

We can work directly with you or through one of your advisors (accountants, CPAs, financial specialists, commercial or group health brokers). Contact us and let us discuss how a relationship with Hamilton Edwards can provide the peace of mind and relief you are looking for.

Our Mission is more critical than ever working with small to mid-sized businesses that are dealing with the challenges of running a business and working with their employees. Compliance and Regulation along with the rising cost of insurance and overall running a business make "Taming the Chaos" in areas of HR administration along with benefits and workers compensation so needed today.

This mission will yield improved "Attracting and Retaining" of a company's workforce.

How We Got Started

Started out of an upstairs room of a house in Dilworth in the Charlotte Area. We found that companies were being underserved in the insurance community when it came to helping employees understand and appreciate benefits and their employer. We worked with health insurance and commercial lines brokers to help bring solutions that helped with recruiting and retention. We still provide the same services today, but at the expanded level of total employee administration.

(more) It looks like, from all the answers on this so far, that telemedicine is going not only less cost but can be very effective.  It can provide peace of mine for the employee, and be excellent in reducing costs for both employee and employer.   With the convenience of 24/7 access to most telehealth services and with the technology now being made available, unless you have some ongoing major medical condition or special medical situation, the need for a concierge doctor, in the thought of additional separate care is not necessary.                                                                                                                               So, most insurance providers do have some form of telehealth services already included in their portfolio.  Telehealth services can be provided separately and anyone on this thread including my agency can make that happen, being very affordable for small businesses.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                      Now, with that said, concierge care, I do believe is something we all should have available and accessible.  Telehealth is getting there, but having concierge services working side by side, in conjunction with or part of the primary care services that are available in health care today is where things should be going.                                                                                                                                                                                                          It is already happening with an organization called Tryon Medical Partners here in Charlotte NC.   These doctors broke away from the traditional primary care that was managed, fee for service approach, spend no more than 15 minutes with a person to a more holistic, concierge, value-based approach.  They practice does offer separate concierge service along with telehealth services which has ramped up since the COVID-19 crisis.    By the way, their primary care services are covered with or without insurance.

"You will always get what you want when you help enough others get what they want"      To explain; you want to be thinking of what value you can bring to the prospect without asking anything in return.    Jay Abraham, business and sales guru, talks about this in all his sales and marketing programs.   Give something upfront, where it is a product, service or advice first, with no obligation or cost.  In other words; don't show what you know, but show how much you care. Keep this in mind and put the concept to work for you and you will get the business you want.

(more) The question should be "How Do You Attract More Customers". If you believe that what you have to offer will help meet a need, you can't be invasive. Only those that see people as dollar signs will come across in the communication as "invasive" or "pushy". So, what are you doing now to attract customers? You have to determine who your market is and how you differ from the competition. What has worked before to attract the business you have now? Remember, people will not buy from unless they sense that they know you, like you and trust you. Are you leveraging relationships that may be connected to that target market? How many coffees have you had with those that can help you connect with that target market? What networking events are you going to that would have your target market there or people that can connect you to that target market. Don't forget it is about Givers Gain, building relationships, building credibility. How many articles or blogs have you done using your expertise or knowledge of your industry that can help someone, where you directly gain or not. This is how you build credibility. This is how you avoid being "invasive". Bottom line, you have to come across all your communications as sincere and the person on the other end receiving knowing you truly care about them. Hope this Helps.

Fully Insured Plans - BCBS, United Healthcare, etc. Pros: Guaranteed coverage Con: Cost is becoming out of range for most small businesses unless your plans are grandfathered in. 2. Level Funded Plans - Third Party Administrator works with a stop loss carrier. Great option that has opened to small businesses in most states. Pros: Rates are generally much less than fully insured. Renewals on average are single digit. Flexible benefit options. Con: Underwriting involved in initial set up. Coverage not guaranteed. 3. HRA (Stand Alone) Give employees defined dollars to purchase their insurance through exchange or off exchange. (Currently, due to limited options in most states, may not be the best option) 4. Multi Employer plans via PEO/ASO (Employee Administrative Services Organization) This can be the best option in cost of plans and coverage. Must be open to allow organization to work with your payroll as a minimum but can be a solid option. As Terry with Denesha Insurance said, much of this is going to depend on where you company is based out of, the size of your group and what your budget is. All the above types of coverage above have multiple plans and options with them. As the others have mentioned, any of us can guide you through what is best in coverage and cost. All the best in your search.
