About Us

We offer a turnkey process from a comprehensive business analysis to the closing and beyond. Half the job is finding the right buyer who will pay your price and meet your terms. The other half is getting the buyer to the closing table. We quarterback the deal by working with the accountants, lawyers, banks, landlords, and other third parties that could jeopardize the success of the transaction. We realize that you depend on us to guide you through the sale of your business. We make the transition simple and easy for you. We know when an opportunity for you may arise and are always there to take advantage of it.

How We Got Started

Established in 1979, Transworld Business Advisors was originally founded in South Florida by Don (a 30 year IBM executive) and his wife Bonnie Parrish. It quickly grew to the largest business brokerage in the U.S.

Although the company was thriving, CEO Andrew Cagnetta envisioned even more growth. It wasn’t long before United Franchise Group CEO Ray Titus and Cagnetta teamed up to form a partnership and offer Transworld Business Advisors as a franchise.

With over 30 years in franchising, Ray provided the leadership under United Franchise Group, which is home to award winning franchises such as Signarama, Fully Promoted (formally EmbroidMe), Experimac, SuperGreen Solutions, VentureX, and Jon Smith Subs. Andy provided the business brokerage industry experience. Their symbiotic relationship helped grow the Transworld franchise into more than 220 franchisees around the world.

Transworld Business Advisors is headquartered in West Palm Beach, Florida.

I've been asked several times to give a good Google review based solely on my knowing that person.  I won't do it because a person can be "nice" but that doesn't make them or their business practice good.  Unless I have personal experience, it would be unethical to post a review. You should definitely discuss this with two people once any family or business partner has been advised: a business attorney who can craft an exit strategy and a financial planner. I once had a suggestion box that staff could anonymously contribute to.  But that never worked.  We also held "Same Page Meetings" where attendees could make suggestions based on the topic of discussion.  If they even approached me with an idea, I thanked them and listened to see if it had merit.... Ideally, their suggestion should be substantiated before moving ahead.  If it's in the brainstorming end, I believe one of the best ways would be to task that employee with the project or partnering with another team member to see if it's do-able.  If it is a suggestion which could be implemented based on budget and time constraints (aka profit margin), they would be recognized and even rewarded.

One important tip: when you attend networking events, remember to have your 60 second elevator speech and always be the very first one to ask what the other person does. Ask how you may help them first.

I'm thankful that, because of the way the company is set up, no loan was required.  I am able to use my home office, a professional phone line and a UPS mailbox address that maybe costs me all of $40/month.  All other expenses are handled through our corporate office.  While I own my business,...
