Our organization provides advocacy, support, and essential resources to incarcerated individuals and their families. We fight for livable conditions inside correctional facilities—nutritious food, humane treatment, and access to basic rights. When people report unsafe meals, denied medical care, or inhumane treatment, we elevate their concerns, so they are not ignored.

For families, we work to keep bonds strong despite distance, cost, and systemic barriers. Most Illinois prisons are hours from Chicago, making visits expensive and difficult. We help with travel support, lodging when visits are canceled without warning, and fuel assistance for long rural drives with limited lighting, scarce gas stations, and poor cell service. We also help loved ones afford vending‑machine meals during visits so they can share a moment that feels “in the world” again.

Inside, we provide small commissary support so individuals can supplement inadequate food portions and maintain their health during long lockdowns. We also offer emotional connection through calls and texts for those who have no one else to depend on.

Once we secure our 501(c)(3) status, we will partner with local food banks to expand our reach and provide more stability to families navigating incarceration.
