In my practice of psychoanalytic therapy, I engage the unique experience of each individual with the goal of bringing out latent potential so that the capabilities of each individual can be accessed and realized in the therapeutic process. The effort is to understand where the individual is blocked, what has been arrested in the developmental process, and then to articulate that potential in the therapeutic process so that the potential that was derailed or arrested can now be brought to fruition.
To articulate a view and approach to psychoanlytic therapy that has not been part of the usual psychoanalytic practice. I include in my approach not only understanding how things came to be as they are, but also helping to create what has never been.
