Your website is going to make a lasting impression on people and is just as important as any other experience that your customers have. If your website doesn't work correctly or is poorly designed, people will associate that with your business. I have a great document about what to look for when hiring a web team. It outlines a lot of the red flags that we see in the industry. If you email me, I'd be happy to share it with you: danielle@dkwebdesign.com If hiring a professional is out of your budget, please do not use Wix or Weebly. I have had so many clients start there, get frustrated that it wasn't as easy as they thought, and call us. (Additionally, the quality of the code is less than ideal in my opinion.) Shopify is an excellent source for ecommerce websites. I would strongly recommend their services.

Payment Depot is a great option for credit cards. Really great rates and you can implement an online payment portal that you can attach to your website.  If you are using Quickbooks for accounting, their ACH processing for checks only costs 50 cents per transaction. We're also online at https://www.dkwebdesign.com  As a professional, we educate clients about the pros and cons of various platforms and allow them to make the final decision as to what they'd like to use. In my opinion, Woocommerce is more trouble than it's worth with it's overly complicated system and security vulnerabilities, among other things. If you have any specific questions, don't hesitate to reach out. Happy to help where I can!

People make decisions based on emotions (for example, I may buy extra coverage on my insurance because I'm AFRAID of XYZ happening). Utilizing this information in your landing page with proper word choice and imagery is a huge component of the design/layout. In general, quality traffic acquired from search engine optimization is so much better for you than PPC traffic. I never suggest that my clients dump all of their marketing money into Google Ads as it can be a black hole. The ROI is low. What I do recommend is to have multiple pillars of advertising in place that balance one another. SEO + Google Ads + a Social Media Campaign, for example. Google Analytics is your best friend in determining how people are using your landing page. You can also look at eye tracking studies to see what portions of your page are getting the most attention. Sometimes a simple shift like using a different header photo, or a different color, makes all the difference to the buyer.

I have found that there is nothing better than networking. Building relationships with other business professionals, being your authentic self, and providing excellent customer service. Referrals naturally follow. I highly recommend BNI (Business Network International). (more) I have found that there is nothing better than networking.
