This article is articulately written from a knowledgeable and discerning mindset. I have fallen victim to this mental model and felt frustrated and insecure about my offerings when I didn't get the immediate results/outcome I was expecting. I believe that the way people are introduced to the understanding of how-to network becomes a numbers and connections game, versus a value-based heart and mind connection to another person's mission and vision and overall "brand." This article was very impactful to me, more so as a reminder that genuine connection and interest in others is the key that unlocks the doors to easily invite others into your world.
