CONVID-19 ESIMATES FOR OHIO
• Gov. Mike DeWine’s medical
team determines that Ohio will reach up to 10,000 new cases daily at
CONVID-19 contagion peak. This peak may not occur until mid-May.
• In about two weeks, Ohio is
going to be hit hard with coronavirus cases, possibly up to 10,000 a
day, DeWine said. The peak may not occur until mid-May. ‘these are
estimates, we not sure exactly,” Gov. DeWine added.
• As reported earlier, Ohio has
been divided into eight diverse hospital regions and charging
facilities in each region to work together to determine how best to
balance the surge in coronavirus patients, in addition
to the regular patient load. The preliminary drafts were delivered to
the governor’s office this morning and officials are reviewing the
tactics.
• “We cannot get through this
by each hospital doing its own thing,” Gov. DeWine said. “The only way
we can get through this is with each hospital working together.”
• DeWine also stressed the
importance to hospitals in locating additional much-needed beds in idle
rooms of nursing homes and hotels for non-infectious, non-coronavirus
patients.
• The final drafts of the eight
regions operations are due noon Monday, though Ohio state officials are
already contacting hospitals, nursing homes, and assisting living homes
for their opinions and inventory now.
