As a business owner, does the cost of Digital Marketing Services often stop you from working with an agency? What do you feel a good monthly retainer would be for you and your business, and why?

I am a very small business and any extra cost can be a struggle to manage at this time. I have not looked into working with a marketing agency or any other agency in recent years for that reason. My other issue is when I first started, I paid good for services that were no better than what I had created myself and some cases my work was better. It was very disappointed. I have no idea what a good retainer would be as I have not done any research on that subject but you pose a good question.
