We teach summer speedreading classes in local school districts. Last year they were all cancelled. This year they are a go. Have to get back into the groove and figure out doing proper distancing in the schools--adjusting our maximum number if necessary.

We are a niche business--helping people read faster with better comprehension and we even throw in writing organization skills for mastery and reports. We do rely on our success to be invited back to organizations more than once and for some word of mouth. One thing that is difficult for us is with our public classes and a small business, once we have taught them the class, they have a life time skill! It's not like beauty products or what you do that is a constant need. We sell our graduates a flash drive to help them refresh what they learned and to provide additional exercises. We are very happy when new clients come from our graduates.
We find that word of mouth is the best advertising because it has a much higher close rate. Discounts work if someone already wants what you do and will motivate them to act sooner. However, marketing is important in that it creates more awareness among people who haven't heard of you. We need...
