About Us
Comanche Public Library offers a wide range of books, internet access, and special collections on local history and genealogy. With services like interlibrary loans and various programs for children and teens, the library is a valuable resource for the community.
How We Got Started
In 1961, Margaret T. Waring started the library in the basement of the courthouse. Passionate about education, genealogy and history, she worked to grow the library, moving to another location when they outgrew the courthouse basement. In 1974, the current 4,500 sq. ft. facility opened. The Comanche Public Library continues to grow and offers a wide variety of community services and programs.
