This was the best year for our solar office here in the Bay area despite our thoughts otherwise that it was going to be the worst year. Last year we averaged around 20-30 accounts per month which is the average for a typical solar sales office. From February to April we had low sales due to Covid and were worried it would continue through the year. However, in May we did 60 accounts, in June we did 80, in July we did 100, and have been doing 80-100 each month since. The big reason why we had so much success beyond our focus on providing the best customer experience going solar on the planet is because of the stay at home order. Homeowners were driving their electric bills up way more than in the past because they were staying home for months. They noticed the significant increases and felt the pain more than normally. Beyond the stay at home order, homeowners were worried about the wildfire season and PG&E's 12.4% increase for 2020 that they wanted to provide some protection and control over their power and the electric bill. Hoping to continue our success in 2021 as it is the last year for the tax credit before it goes away in 2022.
