She serves as a member of several community organizations. Patty presents the perfect combination of industry and area knowledge to seamlessly guide you to the area as well as to the home that meets the next phase in your life.

How We Got Started

Patty's real estate finance professor suggested that she "try" commercial real estate in 1989. She found that she had a natural affinity for commercial property management, and chose not to return to the chemical engineering career she had initiated prior to business school. Over the years, Patty advanced her career through commercial asset management to portfolio investment management. Combining her engineering know-how with her financial education, she ultimately became a NYC-based global sustainability officer for a large bank's real estate portfolio assisting clients with green building certification. With children attending college and aging parents, Patty made the decision to return to her hometown of Acton. She began her residential real estate career working on "fix and flip" investments. A good friend convinced her to join a local real estate brokerage where she discovered her passion for helping clients with the purchase and sale of their homes.

(more) I am in agreement with Michael Tunnicliffe.  I always encourage prospective buyers to understand their budget for housing within the context of their lifestyle.  For example, if they like taking vacations, going out to dinner occassionally and the latest fashion, their budget needs to account for this.  With that understanding, having a conversation with a mortgage lender or broker about obtaining a pre-approval letter is a critical next step as most sellers, if not all these days, will not accept an offer without a pre-approval (or proof of funds if a cash transaction).  The pre-approval may suggest that a higher amount may be borrowed than anticipated.  Again, making certain that the estimated monthly payment fits into an overall budget is important.  With respect to mortgage lenders and brokers, first-time homebuyers will benefit most from one that takes a consultative (or coaching) approach.

My greatest concern is a second peak of the virus as was recently reported in AK by Apple News. This resulted from people feeling that safety guidelines were no longer necessary.  I agree with others that business owners need to be firm about "No mask.  No service." (more) As a real estate agent, I am experiencing pent up buyer demand and seller concerns regarding the home marketing process.  For those sellers who want to sell in the midst of the pandemic environment, we have set up safety protocols, virtual tours, and online access to information and electronic signatures.  Well-priced and well-prepared homes are selling quickly.  If priced too high or not clean and maintained (not necessarily updated), homes are sitting on the market. Those sellers who can afford to wait, are choosing to do so.  This "pause" in the traditional spring/summer market is impacting real estate agents more in geographic areas where the pandemic is more widespread.  Those trades and services that impact the purchase and sale process are also impacted.  It is tough in MA.  The impact will be felt for months to come.  Businesses who are innovative and creative in terms of how they may operate in a safe manner should be allowed to open for business.  With social distancing protocols in place, recreation locations should be open to the public as well.

I currently focus on residential real estate - the purchase and sale of single family homes, multifamily (up to 4 units), and condominiums. I also work as a referral agent to and from just about anywhere in the U.S. I tend to attract those in transition from first time home buyers to those purchasing their final home.  I generally transact in a 10 to 15 mile radius of Concord, MA. I have referred clients across the US. What are your specialties? Are there opportunities for us to work together? Thank you.
