We aspire to be the best in our fields and client happiness doesn't come from telling our clients what they want to hear--in fact. usually the opposite is true. When we see in the Tarot card layout the obstacles holding the client back from his/her goals--are coming from their own ego, or lack of practicality in viewing the obstacle(s) and we tell them that, they are actually happy to know that they're getting in their own way because THAT's something they have control over and can fix! So, it's a myth, at least with OUR company, that because we get paid for our services, we guarantee client happiness--we guarantee honesty, integrity and truth as much as is possible by law and ethics--our clients need to follow their own intuitive paths, make informed choices, and become self-empowered to reach the highest level of personal happiness possible.

We've lost several accounts over the past three years--well, hopefully 2020 will start to improve again! Good luck in 2020 everyone! Best Wishes!!!

(more) I have fortunately, never been put in that position as my company is relatively small and does not depend on any one large company's "account" for its payroll--however, if I did find myself in that position of having to lay off, even one sub-contractor before a holiday I would do the following: Assuming I had some advance notice of the need to lay off anyone, I would be searching other businesses in my field and recommend my subcontractor(s) to them, supplying names and contact phone numbers for their convenience.  In the interim, I would send out those subcontractors in danger of being "laid off" on as many bookings as I could so that they would have some kind of income to hold them over until they could find other work.  I would let each of them know as far in advance as I could, of the impending layoff--to give them as much time as possible to seek other means of employment.    One important thing to note here is the difference between having to fire and having to layoff staff--if someone in a position of trust has stolen money from the company; disrespected the company by making false, derogatory statements about their co-workers or myself--or otherwise misrepresented the company and potentially jeopardized future bookings for others in the Company...I wouldn't care if it was the day before Christmas or that person's birthday--I would first ask for an explanation of their conduct and then, if I felt it was warranted, I would let them know that the most important criteria for working with us at A to Z Entertainment was honesty, loyalty, empathy and compassion--and always working to the best of our ability for the benefit of our clients, therefore maintaining our ethical reputation. After they understood  what they had done was in opposition to my expectations, they would be told that they were no longer a part of the Team.

We are a small to mid-sized company and cannot afford health insurance for our sub-contract staff.
