Glenda Hicks is a BoardSource Certified Governance Consultant and a Standards for Excellence® Licensed Consultant with over 35 years experience serving nonprofit organizations, of which 20+ years have been through her CPA consulting firm. Glenda founded 501c Impact! in 2018 to market the experiential learning board game she created to synthesize board members' knowledge with their performance to create high-performing boards of directors with a strong board-staff partnership.
The game served as the foundation for positioning the company as an Innovative Nonprofit Capacity Builder. Applying her knowledge and experience having worked with senior leadership teams on strategy, leadership, financial management, governance, and other responsibilities, Glenda brings innovative methodologies and design-thinking principles to her clients' challenges to develop solutions and implement action plans.
Services include consulting, training, coaching, and assessments using a combination of research backed tools, templates, policies and procedures along with acknowledged best practices and regulatory authoritative guidance.
As a Trained Coach in LPI: Leadership Practices Inventory and a Trained Facilitator of The Leadership Challenge Self Empowered, Glenda works with Executive Directors/CEOs, leadership teams, and staff as a leadership development coach and trainer to support values' alignment and contribute to a desired organizational culture.
