The obvious answer are trusted associates in my industry, but I also ask  closes friends who are business people and have nothing to do with my industry.  They have common sense, don't have biases people in my industry have, and they are straight with me.  Try it.  It's amazing the ideas you'll hear from a clever individual who knows nothing about your industry.
