I did see however a few recruiters that with a little coaching were able to put some solutions in place that made their outside sales experience manageable and successful. We joked about the phrase "cold calling" all of the time. We used to say "do your homework" on where you were calling on and we soon renamed the "Cold Calling.. Hot Knocks" because we knew something about the place we went. (We did a lot of Lee DuBois Sales Training) We also pushed scripting real hard. We found that when the recruiter really knew their script frontward and backwards there confidence was much better and the fear of "Hot Knocks" was not as bad. I also remember on young lady that would cry if she had to get up and speak in front of people adopted sort of a superhero persona when she was selling. But when the hot knocks where over then the introvert came back. We teased that she was like Clark Kent and Superman. I guess the bottom line is to make up your mind on what you want to do, and find a coach or mentor that will help you get there. You will be surprised what you can do.

We joke about the time my client called me to unlock their fence so the survey crew could get into their backyard to survey their property for closing.. There 21 year old son was at home but he did not answer the door or phone. Oh, yea they also have 4 dogs. I went to house unlocked the door, wrangled in the dogs and looked for the key for the back gate. It was not where they said it would be. So the wife said she would call me back. Long story short, the husband had the key in his shorts while he was cutting the grass the  day before and guess where the shorts where???? Yep. in the dirty clothes basket in the laundry room under all of the wife's personals. Yea - we still laugh about it I know its not exactly what you asked but it made me laugh as I typed it. Happy Tuesday

I look for a lender that is solution driven and available. This way my client will feel totally at ease during the transaction. (more) I look for a lender that is solution driven and available. This way my client will feel totally at ease during the transaction.

I would suggest doing drop by's. Go by all of your local Realtor offices with something unique  that stirs a Top of mind. You can also go into MLS and find all new Listings and send an email to the listing agents. (more) I would suggest doing drop by's. Trust and being comfortable with the Realtor. The experience is what many people look for and does not necessarily result in the best match between Realtor and Client.  (more) Trust and being comfortable with the Realtor. I actually take a picture of my business card and send it to people I meet through txt. I do this for a couple reasons: 1.  I dont ever run out of business cards😊 2. I automatically have their contact number in my phone. (more) I actually take a picture of my business card and send it to people I meet through txt. After going over the list of tasks that I do to get their house ready for sale (Which is a very long list), I ask them which tasks that they would want me to cut out. Typically I would assume that all Realtors practice the highest amount of Customer Service so the situation would dictate the time. If I am showing homes to clients  and I miss a call, I wait until I have a second and I shoot a quick txt letting them know I am out with clients and will return calls when I am done. So the time range can be 15 Min to a couple of hours. Now-a-days clients like to drive separate so they can discuss the homes so I will return calls between stops. When I am doing a home visit with clients it could take a couple of hours because I usually leave my phone in the car. I know that may not give you the time answer that you wanted  but Its kind of a real life situation.  I will say that if its been a couple of hours since I missed the call from my clients, when I call them I let them know why it took so long out of curtesy.

Being self employed you can cater to yourself while taking care of our business/customer as you see fit.  Working for someone else requires that you take care of the internal and external customer as the employer sees fit.
