How We Got Started

After a grueling cycling accident many years ago, I personally discovered the benefit of combining traditional medicine protocols with alternative approaches. This helped me heal faster and more holistically (physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually). I wished to learn and share these modalities with others as they had such a profound impact on me, and in the process began teaching at a Healing Arts College as well as my own Healing Arts Practice, Soul to Soul. We all have stuff to work through and let go of. If you are moving through transitions, are on a spriritual journey or need healing, Soul to Soul is a place where you can rebalance, restore and heal in the most positive ways.

When the Governor of Arizona ordered all in the health and beauty industry close for the Public's Safety, Health and Welfare, I lost a substantial amount of business over the course of 3 months. Even when the individual stimulus funds were combined with the PPP applied for and received, the funding approved only covered one-month vs three-months of lost revenue. Although I am grateful for the PPP, it took too much time, effort and the services of my CPA and additional funding to the SBA to get approved for funding.  I would imagine many did not get what they needed as the process was complex.

I have started offering my clients sessions via Zoom as well as moved some of my spiritual classes to an on-line platform.  I love that I can grow with the current shifting trends instead of falling behind.  With an on-line presence, my out-of-state clients can see me more frequently. At this point, I have found that stretching, yoga, Pilates and lifting weights (I lift 3x/week)  keep my muscles, bones and mind healthy and happy.

I have also let them know that I extend a $10 discount per appointment to my long-time clients as well as clients who book regularly (at least once every 3 weeks) and I believe the discount both encourages people to continue to care for themselves regularly as well as feel as though I value them.  As to how much to increase, at least $10 as you have your own overhead/expenses, including rent that increase regularly as well. We also need to compensate ourselves for the time we spend marketing and building our businesses and continuing education classes we take.   If your overhead/expenses have increased substantially more, consider a larger % increase per session or whatever it takes to make up for the difference in income. Never undervalue your services!  People will value you if you value yourself - know your worth!

Yes, but those services were not covered before Obamacare either.  A more universal approach, whereby we could chose which services we would like included in our coverage, would be amazing.   (more) Yes, but those services were not covered before Obamacare either.  A more universal approach, whereby we could chose which services we would like included in our coverage, would be amazing.
