In my experience, senior executives usually write very short emails. Their time is better spent on other things. So if you want their attention, keep it short, make your needs very clear (maybe even put it in the title), and shift the supporting analysis to an attachment or link.

I didn't always follow this advice. I used to think people would appreciate having all the relevant info in one big long message. But I discovered most people don't like huge walls of text.
