The more I know about the business people and their businesses, the easier it is to identify referrals for them. The more practice you get, the easier it is. I provide "value up front" helping others, and that can often result in them helping me with referrals in return (more) The more I know about the business people and their businesses, the easier it is to identify referrals for them. Networking. The best sales leads are "warm" ones, when you're personally referred to a sales prospect. Lists you buy are often worthless. If you're referred to me by someone I trust, I trust you enough to listen to what you have to say. (more) Networking. That's because I follow the philosophy of offering value without ever expecting anything in return. Are you asking for referrals? Stop. What can you do for the potential referral source that will earn you a place on their radar? What value can you offer to begin earning referrals? What kind of service do you offer them and their clients? How quickly do you return their calls? Show them the value you offer, and offer it again and again. And don't expect to get anything in return. Giving feels good. So give value. You'll be surprised at how, all of a sudden, you stand out, and start getting referrals.
