The Teddy Bear Club is concerned about the development of the whole child. We feel that young children learn and grow best in an environment that responds to their physical, emotional, social, and intellectual needs. We believe children build positive self-concepts through interaction with a rich and varied environment, other children and warm, supportive adults. Our program offers a balance of free choice and structured activities in large group, small group and individual settings.
We began in 1989, with three preschool choices—3 year old program on T-TH a.m., 4 year old program on MWF a.m. and a PreK M-F afternoon, at which time we were licensed for 23 children. We were part of Holy Family School until it merged with Sacred Heart and St. Alphonsus and became All Saints in the 2004-2005 school year. Teddy Bear Club remained as a Holy Family Parish ministry. In August 2005, All Saints started the State Wide Voluntary Preschool Program. In September of 2008, we began offering the 3 year old program on T-H & MWF with childcare if needed changing our hours from 8-3 to 6:30-5:30. We also became licensed for 26 which allowed us to help All Saints with their child care needs of their 4 year state wide voluntary preschool program. Now, All Saints provides their own childcare but we still serve a need for year round childcare. We offer 3 year old program on T-TH, MWF, or M-F with childcare. Our program is a feeder into All Saints 4 year old program.
