After working 25+ years’ as a programmer/analyst in the insurance and financial services industries, I decided to start my own business. After a year of searching, I decided that virtual bookkeeping would be a business where I can combine my technical expertise from my previous career with my training as a virtual bookkeeping via Bookkeeper Launch and QuickBooks Online ProAdvisor certification programs.

Both bookkeeping and programmer/analyst require attention to details, understanding the data and using technology and software to manage the data.

In addition to my technical experience, my previous career required that I work with those who were not as technical as me. This experience helped me learn how to translate my technical knowledge into a laymen's terms so that I could help others do their jobs more efficiently.
