The most Important thing is to know yourself before a business! Are you a Worker Bee - great employee and dedicated but that's satisfying enough, or a outside the box risk taker with the ability to handle stress, hard decisions that effect more than just you, and most of all are you ready for the commitment? Your business is like a marriage, dedication and compromise is success or failure!

Do you see competition or network opportunities? I have gotten more work from competition than any advertising. No one can do it all or be the best at it, so sometimes you need to refer something to someone else. It will come back to you in my experience and the customer will appreciate you looking out for them. I have seen more growth by doing this than all the different advertising methods we have used in 20 years of this.

Start slow and do things right. Nothing worse than a bad reputation no matter how much your service or product is needed!

Surround yourself with professional's who care about you personally as well as your business. Some just want money, others actually care about success. Know the difference before it costs you. This includes Bankers, Lawyer, & Accountants. I own Service, Manufacturing, Retail, and Distribution Companies and have seen all relate to what I suggest!
