Hi! I’m April and I am the founder of Simmons Bookkeeping Solutions, which I opened in July of 2022. Simmons Bookkeeping Solutions offers virtual bookkeeping services using QuickBooks Online. It was founded out of my passionate drive to assist small business owners as they traverse along the path to creating a successful business. I am designated a Professional Bookkeeper as a graduate of Bookkeeper Launch but also had 5+ years previous experience in bookkeeping and tax preparation for equine breeding/training facilities and farms/ ranches. I specialize in construction/contractors and farm/ranch/vet clinics, but welcomes all small businesses as clients. I am also a Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor Online.

I live in Washington with my husband Jason and our amazing daughter, along with our two dogs and three horses. Being a mother is the greatest pride and joy of my life and I am eternally grateful for all of the benefits of self-employment that empower me to always be there for my family. I am also passionate about my horses and will usually be found spending my free time working with them or out on a trail ride. I grew up showing horses and then moved onto breeding. I have always had a love for animals and have worked in veterinary clinics, grooming, and farms/ranches over the years.

It all started after my daughter was born. We lived pretty far out at the time and had no babysitting options or family nearby. After giving up my job at the post office and staying home to raise my daughter I realized that I loved being able to be there for her whenever needed. I decided to go back to school and get certified in bookkeeping so that I may be able to have a schedule that works with my family.
