5280 Watch Company
A mile high in the sky, a bold new watchmaking project is emerging. Specializing in the art of producing Basse-Taille (hand-engraved Guilloché Vitreous Enamel) dials, 5280 Watch Co is pioneering an altogether different category of timepieces. Combining centuries-old engraving techniques and the manual, time-consuming process of vitreous enameling, every timepiece is by its nature a one-off timepiece.
Most basse-taille watches cost $30,000 or more and come with years-long waitlists. 5280 Watch Co was built to change that. We specialize in hand-engraved Guilloché Vitreous Enamel dials, made entirely by hand in Colorado using centuries-old techniques practiced today by fewer than 150 people in the world.
Our founder and CEO, Rich, has been an avid watch collector for years. After searching for enamel watches without success (every option either had years-long waitlists or a $30,000 price tag), he decided to build the watch he actually wanted to wear.
His goal was simple: create a timepiece with the craftsmanship and quality that deserves a lifetime warranty, at a price that makes it attainable. Not a grail watch you spend decades saving for. A watch you actually own, wear, and one day pass down.
