Joining an active Chamber of Commerce in your community is a great way to connect in your local community. At as little as $300-a-year, it is also the most cost-effective form of marketing for any small or mid-sized company.

Matt, I share your frustration. Some of the calls can be identified as an auto dial by their phone number. The calls that can't be identified, I simply disconnect as quickly as possible. Auto dialers can even find cell phone numbers. It is not even worth investing the time to attempt to opt...

Time is my most precious resource. Managing time to plan and execute is more difficult than most new business owners realize. Keep your business meetings short and on target with your eye on the purpose.

First, polish your 30 second (15 seconds is better) the elevator introduction of your company product or service. Keep it simple enough for a 10-year old to understand and practice delivering it to a mirror until you are comfortable.
