About Us

We help businesses target and penetrate the market of the most affluent buyers in their community. We do this by partnering with residents and HOAs of upscale neighborhoods to provide them with their own exclusive high-end magazine.

How We Got Started

Best Version media got its start in 2007 with ideas that hadn’t previously been melded together. Of course “everyone” thought they were crazy to do something in print. Thirteen years later we have 900 magazines throughout North America. Both residents and businesses loved the sense of community that developed through these family-friendly publications. Neighbors of North Dublin offers fabulous opportunities for businesses that service the north Dublin area to become feature sponsors, standard advertisers and expert contributors.

Do dry runs and dress rehearsals of the process you will go through in explaining the changes; trials of the collateral materials you will use with your new offerings. Test it out on friends, family or trusted clients to find out where the sticking points might be. Restaurants do what’s called a “soft open” to perfect their performance before opening to the public; it might provide a model inspire you while you are waiting to implement your new ideas. Best wishes with your project!

SEO is effective when the customer doesn’t know who they are looking for.  You may not realize that some of your marketing is through your location. If you have top of mind awareness from that, they won’t go looking unless they have had a bad experience with your service. If you need to reach people who don’t see your location, you can reach out to your neighbors with micro targeted publications which should be less expensive than direct mail. Done frequently, you achieve branding. If you make them aware of why you are special, they won't go googling. They will come to you! As some others have said, SEO success is expensive, especially if you aren’t doing huge volume. I might be able to help connect you with someone in your area that provides an attractive alternative. You are welcome to reach out to me.

I’m fortunate enough to be able bodied and unfortunate enough to need extra exercise. I head right to the outermost ring of parking spots and leave the closer ones for shoppers with kids or trouble getting around. My big benefit is that I always know how to find my car! Not in the sense of the “me too” movement, fortunately; this client was simply obstinate, demanding and unpleasant. I worked hard to earn his business and I lived to regret it. He was all of the above to my CSRs and then some. Impossible might be the best description. In the end, I fired the client and lived to learn that a hard won sale should not entail doing more than typical clients require to make an informed  and appropriate decision. It was a painful lesson that I could have spent that time cultivating a client that would blend well with our corporate culture, and be a long-time satisfied business partner. Chalk one up for rookie mistakes!
