Set up one-on-one meetings with key influencers in the sales market you are focused on. Most industries now have online influencers who go alot further for the dollar in targeted niches than voluminous cold-calling ever will. When you do network, cold-call, or hard-sell, give yourself time to recuperate from the uncomfortable like appearances in large groups or talking to complete strangers. An introvert has to really push against their own resistance in some circumstances, and you need time to recover after. It's not the best career fit for a true introvert, but there are times we all have to do what we have to do.
It's ok to limit the time designated for things that are not your strongsuit, because they will drain your energy more in a field that is already challenging. Direct your energy to what works best for you.
Don't feel obligated to overshare whether networking, meeting or selling. Find comfortable anecdotes that are universally relatable to diverse people which may better illustrate sales points or consulting points - whichever your focus needs to be at the moment. I like the advice given about focus. Because we get so caught up on multitasking as a point of pride that we can often end up overstretched and over-busy with little to show for it. Focus on the work that you are passionate about and can succeed in. Busyness is merely extra activity. You'll want to have purpose and focus regardless of what you're doing.
