I think a good way to keep the employees you want is to give them something that they can't get anywhere else, the opportunity to earn a bonus and hold them accountable for what they do wrong.  In modern day terms give them a guarantee, unlimited earning potential and the direction to succeed. If you learn how to leverage your time your business will grow without you. It's the concept of many Direct Sales Companies, I'm not sure it will work in traditional business. I belong to LeTip of Two Rivers PA, we only allow one member per category so there is no one competing with me for my business. I don't get a lead every meeting, and I don't always get the business, but when a prospect is a warm lead I think it's a lot easier to make the sale.
