About Us

We're a 13-year-old boutique agency that helps family-owned, multi-generational, Main Street businesses look as good as they actually are.

That's the short version.

The longer version is this: Fusion Marketing was founded by John Hofmann, who was tired of watching legacy mom-and-pop shops get steamrolled by corporate chains. Not because they weren't good enough - they absolutely were - but because they looked amateur next to polished national brands.

So we became the agency that levels the playing field. We do logo design and web development for service companies, manufacturers, restaurants, and professional practices competing in their local markets.

We tell the truth even when it costs us sales. We'd rather lose money than watch someone make a mistake that negatively affects their family. We build relationships like they'll last ten years, because they usually do.

We're not for everyone, and we're okay with that. We're for businesses that value more than just money.

How We Got Started

Fusion Marketing was founded by John Hofmann, who was tired of watching legacy mom-and-pop shops get steamrolled by corporate chains. Not because they weren't good enough - they absolutely were - but because they looked amateur next to polished national brands.

Read more "I had the pleasure of leading a project for Joel's company, and while I haven't worked with him on the investor side of his business, his approach to our project told me everything I need to know about how he operates. Joel is meticulous. Every detail mattered to him - not in a controlling way, but in a way that showed he genuinely cares about getting things right. He came to our meetings prepared, asked thoughtful questions, and clearly understood not just what he wanted, but why it mattered for his clients. What impressed me most was his strategic thinking. He didn't just want a pretty website. He wanted every element to serve a purpose, to communicate value, and to build trust with the investors he serves. That level of intentionality is rare. If he brings this same attention to detail and strategic mindset to his consultative work, his clients are in excellent hands. You can tell a lot about someone by how they handle the "smaller" projects - and Joel treats everything like it matters."

With that said, I know a fair share of programming languages at this point and use them at work internally but we, as a firm, do not offer the programming as a service to clients. I will take on side projects here and there because I like the problem solving aspect of them. That and free graphic design for non-profits, I got my start in the industry as a designer and have a soft spot for NPs who are making the world a better place. 😁👍

1. Call and thank them. 2. Pictures to the internet 3. Write a blog post (if this is a common thing, add a few to one article and then share that to social media) 3.1 don't brag, but rather try to be genuine and include a link to a page that lists all the places a client can review you online. FB adverts are amazing if you can nail down your target buyer (30+ demographic) for a product. Pixel the buyers and create a blind ad that targets a lookalike audience... I hope that helps. Anything that is reusable in day-to-day life is a great investment for a giveaway item. My favorite to date is an oversized umbrella because it was larger then the one I had (read: better), you don't buy them often (read: still have it), and you only need one (read: still using it). My guess is that it cost around 10 to give me the umbrella and I've had it for 3ish years now. $10 / 1095 day = < 0.009¢ day
