Depends on type of product and ad. Obviously online sponsored articles about OTC pain relievers sell products or they wouldn’t be all over the internet. In contrast, as a pain doctor, I find TV and print ads for prescription medication very unconvincing, and most patients who bring those ads into my office are not really good candidates for the product advertised.
