I have a service that sends out a link that they use to fill out their review. They can also choose to leave it on Facebook or Google, or Yelp. It then auto-embeds onto their website and updates automatically. It's an awesome way to obtain reviews for my clients.

For local websites that serve a certain radius around their base location, showing up on the first page of Google when a customer searches for "emergency plumber near me", can be done many ways but I focus on a few. Long-term, for a plumbing company, I would recommend a website with rich content, easy navigation, call-to-actions, local business schema, etc. Many factors also include domain age, social signals, backlinks, and citations. Search engine optimization is for Google but it should also apply to your thinking on how you build your brand awareness overall. Short-term, I would do call-only ads or ads with call extensions, a landing page, and a focus on keywords with a sense of urgency, (emergency plumber near me, bathroom flooding repair near me, etc.) This will help put your company at or near the top of Google as you serve people that need immediate help and don't want to waste time looking around. If the budget permits, I would also do Facebook lead generation ads and have a follow-up system in place to follow up and close your clients. You need to think what a phone call is worth to you or an estimate request through a contact form. Then, figure out how much is the return you are getting form your marketing efforts. Well-optimized campaigns pay for themselves fairly quickly, but you need to monitor it. Last but not least, you need to make sure that when you're on the first page of Google, that your customer service is amazing and you follow up consistently and quickly. Create a Google My Business account and make sure your information is correct and up to date. Start to build your Google reviews and you'll soon see yourself with plenty of business.
I think it's only "unprofessional" if they send you stuff without doing any research on who you are and if the service will benefit you at all. But reaching out and sending an offer, to me, is the whole point of all of this (social media, networking). If you don't want messages from them,...

I think it's only "unprofessional" if they send you stuff without doing any research on who you are and if the service will benefit you at all. But reaching out and sending an offer, to me, is the whole point of all of this (social media, networking). If you don't want messages from them, simply remove the connection and carry on. But try to appreciate the hustle that people go through daily. Take 2 seconds to see if it's worthwhile, and reply back.

I've been using strictly Google call ads for local business. My clients want customers So customers is what I send them. I focus mostly on the local business niche that has customers who have "emergency type" services that require an immediate phone call.
