Our selling model is to sell in the location where we can deliver the highest return for the client. We use MULTIPLE SALES VENUES, including internet sales sites, local and national auction houses and specialized dealers.
We began the business in the mid-1990s, selling Beanie Babies on the internet. When this fad collapsed, we used the newly developed eBay internet channel to sell antiques and collectibles for ourselves. Later we expanded our services to encompass the estate liquidation needs of referring financial managers, estate and divorce attorneys, real estate agents, and senior living and moving coordinators, as well as private individuals who contact us.
Merrill's portion of the business has evolved to encompass all the services of a private jeweler. These include custom design, certified appraisals for insurance and estate purposes, jewelry sales, and sourcing of diamonds and gemstones.
