Many two-income homes are finding they need space to work that not only gives them elbow room from one another, but doesn't invade the shared family space. Since many are working from home, the outdoor space is a premium. Some empty nesters have even moved from condo living to a small ranch home where they aren't restricted by building rules and can have space for family to visit safely. It isn't always about larger homes, but a more accommodating layout for this WFH environment.
