About Us

As one of the oldest, most popular professional theaters in the country, the Old Log offers contemporary plays, comedies and musicals year-round along with children's summer and holiday shows.

Minutes away from the Twin Cities metro area and set on 12 beautiful acres near the shores of historic Lake Minnetonka, the Old Log combines rustic charm, a serene setting and spacious accommodations. The lovely grounds with their authentic log buildings are bordered by tall pines, perennial and chef gardens among natural wetlands.

In addition to our spacious theatre the building has a separate 234 seat restaurant CAST & CRU for pre-show dining, individual fine dining, and full bar service with bar menu along with rental possibilities. Cast & CRU is CURRENTLY OPEN for INDOOR and OUTDOOR Dining. Reservations required at www.castandcru.com

Old Log / Cast & Cru is suffering. C & C has never been known for delivery or pick up so we decided to not do that but, now we don’t know if we should do that or if it’s too late. We are having a hard time finding qualified chefs and line cooks Prep chefs. Restaurants all over town are having a hard time and other restaurants are offering higher wages just to poaching others chefs.
