Mark Hooper, founder of Furniture Fixology, LLC has over 40 + years experience as a Master Craftsman in custom high end furniture making and 4 generations of combined experience past down from father to son.
Mark has been a constant witness to the shifting tides and changes in the furniture industry but has always remained devoted to his craft. When furniture factories moved off our shores into the hands of overseas manufactures he inherantly knew that trouble was upon the horizon.
He took his love of building, design, and engineering and immersed himself and adapted his skills and desires into the current needs of the furniture consumer. By working with the furniture warranty companies in most of the South eastern United States he gained extensive knowledge of the inherent flaws and how to economically and adequately make repairs to extend the life of the furniture and save our clients thousands of dollars in replacement costs. His long journey lead him to his wife Jude and their dream to create a legacy for their family. Others might do onsite repairs but not to the degree of engineering and experience tha we have.
Our mission is to save some of the 15 million tons of really great furniture that prematurely ends up in local landfills each year by offering Residential and Commercial Furniture Repair Services, Leather Restoration, and Refinishing. We are The Fatigued Furniture Aficianodos and "We Fix All of Life's Little Oops! "
Thank you for getting to know a little about our family owned business and please give us a call if you have any questions we would love the opportunity to meet you and possibly help with your repair needs.
We had no big plans when we started Furniture Fixology, actually it was one of those accidents in life that you stumble into and one day you wake up as a feature story in Forbes Magazine, CBS Local News, and on a Google Commercial.
Jude had no experience in business “at all” but by faith and the belief in her husbands ability they forged together and she figured out what was needed to create a website, market, advertise, and do the daily grind to keep the business engine moving forward. A Pitt bull in Lipstick is how Forbes Magazine described Judes tenacity to overcome obstacles in a featured story of Women in Business. How do you become a stay at home mom one day on the verge of homeless to Forbes is a miracle to say the least. Every small business carries its own battle scars and rallies around its many victories. We so enjoy being a part of this awesome community and family of small business owners.
