This has happened to us before and now what i do is in the contract it is written in the payment schedule once a certain stage is completed a payment is due before we start the next stage and they will pay to prevent stop working , this has worked great with out chasing money

The biggest misconception is that of homeowners that have no idea of cost and want one estimate to be given with 3 different options, a lot of time for one free estimate
