If you have someone working in your space, you should insist to see the contractor’s  Certificate of Insurance (COI) showing that they have $1Million/$2Million general liability coverage and $1Million for Workers Compensation. Many companies will send subcontractors to do your work and they need to be insured under the actual company or have their own coverage. We write a lot of contractors and General Contractors and it is very important to make sure that the contractor/subcontractor is covered.
