How We Got Started

My career as an artist started about 45 years ago after taking various art classes; being taught and mentored by well-known artists such as Charles Harris, a leading International Classical Artist; and the best teacher of all, experience. I paint realist art, which is history in the making, and a global language that connects people to the world in which we live.

After reading the responses to this question, I believe I will start offering an incentive to the referrer. I am considering: The referrer to receive __% off the cost of the purchase of his/her first original painting from my Gallery, if the referee purchases a painting from my Gallery. There's always the internet with all its social connections. There are also a few free web sites available. Locally, use your newspapers to advertise any events going on. Join a local art club. My local hospital hangs local art in their lobby (after jurying) and also hangs them in their gift shop. Just call and ask if your hospital supports this type of thing and who the contact would be. Of course if you are asking about hanging overall, such as in each room, etc., I would think... You should contact the galleries in which you are interested and in which you think your work would fit. Ask them what they require. Galleries are as different as people.
