Nike isn't practicing Fascism. They're identifying that their customer base would like them to take a stance on an issue, and they're taking a stance. Corporations do this all the time. Companies build sustainable supply chains out of concern over upsetting their customer base. Other organizations use solar panels to demonstrate a commitment to environmental concerns their customers may have. Some employers have even linked their compensation strategies to the MIT Cost of Living calculator in order to secure good press. This is nothing new. It's existed for decades. That doesn't mean you have to participate in the behavior... but there is a reason a lot of firms do.
