Women's Empowerment Series
The Women's Empowerment Series was founded in 2017 and moved into Goebel Family Foundation July 31st, 2019 with our allowed start date of Jan 1st, 2020. After two wonderful years with Fond du Lac County, we found the need was much greater than a 10 week program. Women's Empowerment Series is a year round service that is headquartered in the City of Fond du Lac and serves women from anywhere within the County and beyond with our virtual programming. The majority of women and children served are part of a larger at-risk population who live in the County. Annually we serve around 500 individuals of which 75 are children under the age of 18. The year round programming includes but is not limited to personalized support based on where a woman is at in her journey that increases her self-worth and value by not just giving to a request but educating and allowing success when a woman can advocate and overcome independently. With a mentoring matrix, women are paired with a team of individuals who offer personal, psychosocial and physical support as the women embrace the changes in their lives and step into uncharted territory. During our initial pairing with women and mentors WES takes a great deal of time and thoughtfulness to establish a foundation for the growth of the mentee-mentor relationship as this carries on after and outside of the group learning sessions. Women's Empowerment Series aims to educate and create a systematic change that will allow the women to break the cycle.
