Although my main business is a rustic barn venue -- without heat I am done the end of October in Iowa.  I fill in my off season with wedding planning and decor at other locations. I'm going to assume this is for a wife or girlfriend.  I am a big fan of creating an experience.  With that said, I would invite only about 2 to 5 other couples -- about a dozen people total of your best friends or family - if you need more try to keep it around 25 or so.  You may need a... (more) I'm going to assume this is for a wife or girlfriend.  I am a big fan of creating an experience.  With that said, I would invite only about 2 to 5 other couples -- about a dozen people total of your best friends or family - if you need more try to keep it around 25 or so.  You may need a decorator or planner to help you, but if you don't have them, rent enough tables and chairs for an outside party -- a tent if necessary, but better just with lots of twinkle lights.  Have the table set with lots of candles, low flowers, and set beautifully -- with the twinkle lights surrounding your tables.  Have a caterer come and serve a romantic dinner.  Some wine, music, conversation and laughter -- I think you have it...

I have found that most people just want someone to listen to them...so that is my first strategy -- listen to what they perceive is the problem. Once they have an opportunity to talk and feel like they have a voice, I can then start to visit with them about what they need to solve the problem. ... (more) I have found that most people just want someone to listen to them...so that is my first strategy -- listen to what they perceive is the problem. Once they have an opportunity to talk and feel like they have a voice, I can then start to visit with them about what they need to solve the problem. I deal with stressed Brides and mother's of the brides and scrapping them off the ceiling is something I often have to do...listen, listen listen...
